Our 10mm coloured toughened glass panels are suitable for our Semi Frameless, Post & Rail and Spigot Balustrade Systems. Available in Clear, Frosted, Green, Grey, and Bronze, each panel is cut to size and supplied with polished edges and dubbed corners for added safety. All panels are manufactured to the highest standards and supplied with CAD drawings for customer approval prior to production. The maximum tested panel width is 1100mm when secured with ‘D’ shape clamps, ensuring compliance and stability. Once approved, glass is non-returnable. These panels deliver a premium, safe, and stylish finish for decking, patios, and balconies.

• Where is the Satin Semi Frameless Balustrade most commonly used?

  It is popular for raised decking, garden terraces, and patios where a modern look, safety, and an uninterrupted view are important.

• How do I clean and maintain the satin finish?

  The satin stainless steel finish is low maintenance. We recommend periodic cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft cloth to remove dirt and contaminants. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads.

• How easy is the system to install?

  Installation is straightforward. Pre-drilled posts ensure accurate clamp positioning, and the system is designed for ease of assembly by competent DIYers or professional installers.

• Can the system be used in coastal or exposed areas?

  Yes. The Satin system is manufactured from 316 marine grade stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion and ideal for use in exposed or coastal environments.

• Can laminated glass be used in this system?

  Yes. Laminated glass can be supplied if required, and in some installations (such as certain balconies or commercial projects) laminated glass is essential to meet regulations.

• Is the glass returnable if the size is incorrect?

  No. As each panel is cut to order, glass is non-returnable once manufactured. To avoid errors, CAD drawings are provided for your approval before cutting.

• What is the maximum panel width?

  The maximum tested panel width between posts is 1100 mm when using 10 mm toughened glass with clamps. Wider spans can be supplied at customers requested but will not come with any documentation.

• How is the glass secured in place?

  Glass panels are held using stainless steel ‘D’ shape clamps with protective rubber gaskets. This avoids the need for drilling into the glass and ensures a safe, professional finish.

• Do the posts come with fixings?

  All posts include a welded base plate, base plate cover, and glass clamps where stated. Ground fixings (such as bolts or anchors) are not supplied and should be sourced separately depending on the surface.

• Can this balustrade system be used on stairs?

  Yes. The Satin Semi Frameless System can be installed on staircases. We recommend fitting the posts first and then creating a template to determine the exact glass dimensions. A CAD drawing is then supplied for approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance before the glass is cut.

• What type of glass is used in this system?

  The system uses 10 mm toughened safety glass, available in clear, frosted, green, grey, or bronze. Each panel is cut to size, polished, and supplied with CAD drawings for approval before manufacture.  The glass clamps that are supplied with this system are suitable for   10 - 12mm glass thickness’s and also laminated glass if required.

• Is the Semi Frameless Balustrade System compliant with UK Building Regulations?

  Yes. At 978mm and 1100mm heights, the Satin Semi Frameless Glass Balustrade System complies with UK Building Regulations Part K, making it suitable for raised decking, patios, balconies, and stairways.

  *Heights above 600mm fall height require either a hand rail and/or laminated glass.

• Is the Black Semi Frameless Balustrade System compliant with UK Building Regulations?

  Yes. At 970 mm and 1100 mm heights, the Black Semi Frameless Glass Balustrade System complies with UK Building Regulations Part K, suitable for raised areas and staircases.
