This 75mm Aluminium Balustrade Post is the core structural component of your railing system. Designed for strength and style, each post is made from durable, corrosion-resistant aluminium with a hard-wearing powder-coated finish.
The post includes a bolt-on base plate for surface mounting and a matching powder-coated cover for a clean, seamless base detail. A bracket alignment stencil is included with every post, ensuring precise and level installation of both top and bottom rails.
The post is not pre-drilled, allowing full flexibility for installers while maintaining a professional finish. It is compatible with all railing kits and bracket types in The Outdoor Look’s aluminium balustrade range.
Suitable for installation on composite decking, timber, concrete, tiles and more — the 75mm square post supports both level and stair installations and complies with British Building Regulations. A premium choice for gardens, balconies, or leisure homes across the UK.

Yes. Use a hacksaw or metal-cutting saw.
Cut both ends evenly to ensure symmetrical picket spacing. Always measure carefully and wear protective gear when cutting.
The maximum spacing between posts is 1829mm (72"). This is the longest internal span your aluminium rail is designed to support.
However, you can cut the rails down to fit shorter gaps if needed. Always cut equal amounts from both ends to maintain balanced picket spacing.
Tip: Cut rails approximately 3.5mm shorter than the post-to-post gap to allow for bracket clearance.
