The Aluminium Rail Support Leg is a discreet but essential part of The Outdoor Look’s aluminium balustrade system. It fits underneath the bottom rail to support its weight and maintain the correct height and alignment for spindle spacing.
Each leg is made from durable, powder-coated aluminium and colour-matched to blend with the rest of your railing system. Supplied as standard with every aluminium railing kit, these legs can also be purchased separately for replacements or if your installation requires extra support — such as when rails are cut into shorter sections.
Easy to install and maintenance-free, these legs help ensure a clean, straight finish to your balustrade while maintaining structural integrity and compliance with UK Building Regulations. Ideal for decking, patios, and other flat surfaces.

The Rail Kit includes:

Cut both ends evenly to ensure symmetrical picket spacing. Always measure carefully and wear protective gear when cutting.
The maximum spacing between posts is 1829mm (72"). This is the longest internal span your aluminium rail is designed to support.
However, you can cut the rails down to fit shorter gaps if needed. Always cut equal amounts from both ends to maintain balanced picket spacing.
Tip: Cut rails approximately 3.5mm shorter than the post-to-post gap to allow for bracket clearance.
